Phills review

Missed first support but apparantly they were only on 10/15 mins anywayz
Serj Tankin next. Had low expectations but he was actually not that bad. Had an impressive outfit on and was pretty charasmatic. I liked one song, I think called Praise the lord. Was crazy lol.
Foos time! Opened up with Let it die... straight into the pretender. Crowd was a bit mental for first few songs. Mad crush. Managed to get into the middle kinda like four rows from dave. Moved around a lot throughout the gig though as the crowd was constantly shuffeling.
Enjoyed Cheer up boys. One of my favs off the new album. They played it at V but was a lot better now I know it.
They played four songs from IYH - as many as they did in 2005 when they were promoting that album lol
They did three TINLTL songs on the run - still their best album. Glad the crowd got more into Learn to Fly this time, and stacked actors was it's usual lengthy rock out. There was a guy standing near me with one huge mohawk. He crowd surfed out of the area shortly after lol.
Off to the acoustic stage which came down from the roof. Managed to get right next Dave on the runway bit. Shame that people at the front cudnt see a thing. They should have had screens up for us. A very similar set to when we saw them at V, with the addition of But Honestly. Another great track from the new album. No rock out version drum intro to My Hero tonight, but still in the set at least.
Still playing the slow to rockout version of Everlong. I wonder when the full band performance will be back? I still like this version though. Maybe Dave could just do the first verse solo and then pick it up with the band from second verse, so the rock version last longer
What a combo of Mokney Wrench followed by All my life. The red screens were back in the full on rock out section of all my life!!!! :-D Like my shirt if I could have found it lol. The crowd went mental at that part as expected!
IYH was a surprise opener to the encore, although hardly a "very old song" as Dave said
A fun cover of Holiday in Camodia that included Serj dressed in casual attire. He seemed more lively and having more fun playing with the foos than his own band lol.
And then Chris starts to play Aurora!!!!!! :-O Only for Dave to say they are playing baker street instead :-( So gutting. Auroroa and HJP are the two I most want to see back in the set! Chris even started it up again after Baker Street for Dave to say no again! Hopefully they will play it next time for the summer shows.
Wrap things up with Best of You and that ends another Awesome foos gig. Glad they have finally extended their sets now to a full two hours. 22 songs is pretty impressive, especially with the amount of extended songs they do!
