Phills review Vincent Vincent and the Villains - Saturday 27th October Winter Kids: Dam this venue is tiny downstairs. Cool halloween ice sculptures and pumpkins upstairs. Thought it was gonna be hard to see the stage at first cos its so low, but managed to get near enough to front to see through gaps. Kicked off with wonderland their single. The single reminds me of Idlewilds voice. Got some alright tunes. Certainly not a bad support act at all! Vincent Vincent and the Villains: Kicked off the gig with Johnny Two Bands!!! What a cool tune. Straight into Blue Boy. They played some new tunes from the upcoming album, favourite of which was the finale which got a big dance up on the floor. Im alive and the new single on my own were yet again great to hear. They shud have been on longer but another cracking set from them when they were on. Something tells me they will not be playing venues this size for much longer. |
