Phills review
Well I'm starting this review with Chippy Tea playing in the background!
Second time to the gravy train... surpringly this is the last ever gig at
the venue! Shame because it's got great sound in there. But not the best
location. The demand always seemed to be there though...
A lot darker now than back in May
Get in there and a merchandise stall is set up! First time that's been there
for a "local" gig.
Got chatting for a while to the bassist who is a teacher at St Helens by day
and hotpot by night! Picked upa bargain T Shirt and CD package for £10!! Got
a couple of photos and signatures before checking out support act!
These eyes have cameras? THey were very nice and relaxing. The sight of a
violen was not a nice surprise before they played but she was really good. I
guess when it is played well then it's ok. Couple of acoustic guitars and
vocals completed the band. I'd say a light playing drummer would nicely
complete this band.
Packed crowd in for the hotpots tonight. They get a cheer as they hit the
stage.
Classic set list with all the album tracks. Favs had to be the double
serving of chippy tea. Ebay' Eck was also class. Crowd were really into it
throguhout. Pretty perfect band to have on while downing a good few beers
(nice cold buds :-D)
They looked the part too lol
Got all four signs on my cd afterwards!
A few good tunes after the bands, but not as many as last we were here.
Recon these will get big when they get the exposure they deserve.
